The Baby Surprise Sweater

I recently finished knitting this lovely Baby Surprise sweater for a sweet little one's Christmas present.  Elizabeth Zimmermann is a genius for creating this pattern.  I used scrap wool yarn throughout and felted it down a bit because it was too big (pattern using worsted yarn created a toddler-sized sweater, and I'm giving this to a baby under one year old).

This was such a joy to knit and I love how it turned out. It's so thick and cozy, I'm thinking it will keep her warm for the next few winters at least.  xoxo
