Flower Deliveries and New Paintings

Every Wednesday the florist near my studio makes me a new bouquet.  I bring it to my studio, study it, and paint it for a week.  Soon, I hope to also do embroidery work that is based on my flower bouquets.

Meanwhile, I thought I would share my process a little by showing you pictures of the bouquets and the paintings that came from them for the past two weeks.  Last week's flower bouquet looked like this:

and the painting that I made from it looked like this:

some flower paintings that I've made from previous weeks' bouquets are here:

Today I got this bouquet:

and I made this painting:

I am having so much fun with this.  I really hope that you enjoy seeing them.  If you are interested in purchasing any of the above paintings and you live locally, they will be for sale starting tomorrow at Belle Fleur in Oak Grove.

Wishing you the very best,

 xo Jennifer

  1. I love this. I would love to do this, paint a new bunch of flowers every week.

If I was anywhere near Oregon, I'd be on my way over to oogle your work in real life.

  2. I had fun choosing this particular painting online that now hangs in my downtown office,
from Wahooart.co, who sells canvas prints of art masterpieces. While the original is treasured in some
art museum in England, my print http://EN.WahooArt.com/A55A04/w.nsf/Opra/BRUE-8LHS4U, of this painting by Edward
Burne-Jones is very much appreciated by my staff and clients. The print quality is really excellent.
