About Me

Jennifer Finn
Portland, Oregon

Jennifer Finn is a painter who also works with textiles.  All of her work is created in her studio in Oak Grove, Oregon.  Her work manifests out of her desire to escape consumerism and mass fabrication and create something personal, useful, and beautiful with her own hands. She loves flowers, the irregularity of handmade items, using up odds and ends, used or worn items, and values the slow process of making something by hand.

Currently, she is working on oil-based daily paintings of flower bouquets and contemporary embroidered paintings.  She also makes embroidered band posters, autobiographical renderings using thread and fabric, hand-sewn quilts, freeform knit and crochet wearable art, and redesigns clothing.

She lives in the Ardenwald neighborhood of Milwaukie, Oregon with her husband, musician Patrick Finn, and her teenage daughter.
